Recall Problem; "...I have a 95 Bronco and back in feb.-11- 2010 my rig's master cylinder's Speed Control Deactivation Switch connection caught fire, this is what the recall "speed control system" is and the recall is still on going. Just go to www.fordowner.com to find out about recalls. After contacting Fordowner.com and filing a claim they passed it on to the claims group @ FORD to be reviewed. Once the group reviewed my claim then someone got in touch with me, I have to mail copys of my title, bill of sale, ect. and copy's of photos of the damage to her. She said that the dealer dose not have parts for vehicles 10 years and older so I have to get my local shop to replace the master cylinder and the wires that were effected by the break fluid and their labor cast, she will cut me/the shop a check and then after the work is done then the dealer will look it over to make sure the truck and the work is up-to-date. All this to fix something that at most costs $200. WTF..."

Recall; Fused Jumper Harness (14A411) pic; "List price on this is ~$11 (as of the date I posted the pic), but it will be installed at NO CHARGE (parts or labor) on vehicles covered by the recall. Even though the label is wrong about the fuse being internal, it should still NEVER be replaced. If it blows, it means the brake pressure switch is leaking, and (as the label states) should be replaced with the new switch & adapter harness kit, listing for ~$20 right now..."

Sensor, Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) pic & Operational Description & Parameters (click on Sensors)- this describes pre-92 years where VSS is mounted on transfer case - The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) supplies this signal to the components that require vehicle speed information including the speed control amplifier for cruise control equipped vehicles and computer.

Sensor, VSS (also called called RABS) Tone Ring Inspection; Take off the rear diff cover. Check the Ring Tone gear. It is located on the left hand side of the ring gear. Look to see if any of the teeth have been notched (from debris floating around in the diff.) Usually a spider gear. If the ring tone gear has been notched, it will need to be replaced to fix your speedo reading. Jack it up and rotate the tires to look for the teeth to be notched/broken/bent

Sensor, VSS (also called called RABS), 4WABS & PSOM, PCM Wiring Diagram & Info for 94-96 Bronco;vehicle speed control may be used as a good indicator. If it works normally, then the speedometer module is at least receiving a speed input signal and the wiring and sensor can be assumed to be good

Sensor, VSS or RABS?; by Bronco1 - "Depending on the year; 1992 + - It's called a RABS sensor, or a DSS (diff speed sensor), or rear axle sensor. At work (Ford dealership, we ask for a rear diff speed sensor. 1991 & older - If we want the one on the transmission or transfer case, we ask for the vehicle speed sensor at the trans or tranfer case." by MustangGT221 - "On the 92-96s there's no "VSS" in the transfer case or tranny, they did away with that cable operated stuff, and used the rear axle's ABS sensor to double as the "VSS" for 92-96. If you look in my 95 dealership manual, they list a vehicle speed sensor, when you look at what the book says it is, they say it's that ABS sensor in the rear diff, so according to that, 92-96's DO have a VSS, it's just simply the rear ABS sensor which now (on 92-96s) doubles as a speed sensor."

Removal; 1.Disconnect the wiring at the servo. 2.Disconnect the adjuster from the accelerator cable. 3.Disconnect the vacuum line at the servo. 4.Remove the actuator cable-to-bracket screw. 5.Remove the pins and nuts retaining the servo to its mounting bracket and lift it out...."
