Thats because they are idiots. There is an allen head built into the stud, meaning you have to hold that there and install the upper nut with a combination wrench; otherwise the whole stud just turns and turns looking like its stripped. The best way to mount them is to lift the truck up, support it under the front frame rails and allow the suspension to droop. That way you can install the lower bolt, jack up the ttb arm and guide the top stud in place. Don't over tighten, the top mount is only ~15 ft/lb..."
